Our client is a consulting structural engineering firm that provides structural analysis and design services for a wide range of building projects. The firm produces efficient and creative structural systems which accommodate and respect the design intentions of its Architectural clients in both new & renovated work. 

The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of structural and architectural design documents and the design process, good communication skills, both oral and written; and the ability to work equally well in a singular capacity or within a team framework. 

Our client, a well-established, innovative firm, is seeking a CAD Technician.  The basic function of the CAD Technician is to produce drawings using AutoCAD MEP or Revit for designers, engineer(s) and/or senior engineer(s) on a large number of concurrent projects. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

·           Produces drawings using AutoCAD MEP or Revit from mark-up drawings, just as frequently receiving verbal or written direction provided by engineers in the disciplines of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and/or other disciplines. Minimal supervision from the engineer or group leader is required as well as minimal direction in design procedures. Will play a key role on maintaining company CAD standards put in place by the CAD Department as well as reporting issues and suggestions to the CAD Department.

·           Produces graphs, charts, overlays, isometric and perspective drawings, riser diagrams as well as insertion of blocks, schedules and details from specification sheets or directly from within the CAD platforms.

·           Light design work of specific disciplines such as HVAC load calculations, square footage calculations, sprinkler layouts, lighting layouts, circuiting etc.

·           Other duties may include cutting/trimming of plans, photocopying, plotting, scanning, packaging, mailing, and other miscellaneous duties which may be required from time to time to assist in providing clients the most accurate product as timely as possible.

Qualifications and Responsibilities:

·           Must have formal training in AutoCAD.  Formal training in AutoCAD MEP preferred

·           Experience with AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit a plus.

·           Must have five or more years of AutoCAD experience

·           Must be able to read and write in English 

Site survey work may be required from time to time, therefore you must be able to physically navigate various job sites including boiler rooms, rooftops, ceilings, etc. Survey work will require the ability to walk substantial distances and climb ladders and stairs.

Our client, a well-established, innovative firm, is seeking an HVAC Engineer to join its successful team.  The basic function of the HVAC Engineer position is to develop plans and specifications, reports and cost estimates on a number of concurrent projects.  Specific responsibilities include: 

·           Performs professional engineering tasks, under the supervision of a senior engineer and/or project manager.

·           May obtain field data by conducting field visits to project sites both in state and out of state.  May require overnight travel.  Documents existing conditions onto paper.

·           Solves standard engineering problems.

·           Obtains knowledge of building codes and stays current with building code changes.

·           Performs research and writes reports.

·           Performs equipment takeoffs for estimating purposes.

·           Will design and lay out routine portions of HVAC projects using AutoCAD MEP.

·           May supervise CAD and/or Designers within HVAC discipline.

·           May assist Group Leader with project planning, managing schedules and budgets to complete work on time and within budget.

·           Develops plans, specifications and cost estimates for a limited number of concurrent projects.

·           Creates final design documents.

·           Will perform calculations as well as operate various software packages related to various portions of the design package.

·           Will specify engineering systems based on project parameters.

·           Prepares studies, drawings or sketches as required.

·           Other duties as required

·           Must be a graduate from an ABET accredited engineering curriculum with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.

·           Must have five to ten years of engineering experience designing HVAC systems, and developing plans and specification for a variety of facility types.

·           Must have a thorough understanding of the principles of HVAC design.

·           Must have EIT certification.

·           Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP preferred.

·           Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
