Our client is seeking an Engineering Aid.  Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare components and required equipment to perform system and component mechanical evaluations of client’s products.
• Testing and set up consists of materials and test equipment preparation, testing procedure validation and test organization
• Utilize a system to maintain, track and record test data and status
• Perform product modifications and/or upgrades to enable research and development activities.  Suggest areas of improvements.
• Gather and organize data to support perform first pass analysis.
• Design, develop and conduct quantified evaluations on small appliances accurately for analysis purposes

• Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 2-5 years mechanical engineering / consumer product  experience
• Utilize Excel, Word & DAQ view to organize and record data.
• Independently recognize errors in testing procedures and suggest corrections
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and  thermal systems
• Excellent hands on mechanical skills
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Experience in Consumer Products, High Volume Manufacturing, Plastics and Molding a plus
• Ability to use basic machine shop and test tools – lathes, drill presses, etc. to create testing fixtures and jigs
