Our very busy, growing client in the wastewater industry, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, the selected candidate will be tasked with traveling to client sites throughout North America, setting up pilot tests, assisting with start-up and commissioning, and provide technical sales support for the company representative. In addition, the Field Service Engineer will provide support to the customer after the installation has been completed including inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance of both large screw presses and filter presses. This is a multi-faceted role where, when in house, the Engineer prepare technical documentation and review specifications as well as bid documents. If you are a degreed Mechanical Engineer who meets these qualifications, has strong problem-solving abilities and enjoys working with customers, this could be a great opportunity for you! Background profile:
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in supporting or servicing large mechanical fluid handling systems that include pumps, compressors, filtration and controls.
• Wastewater treatment experience and experience working on municipal projects are both highly desired and considered beneficial but aren’t required.
• Experience/ability to review specifications, assist in the preparation of proposals and quotes for clients and reps, which may include conducting site evaluations, mobile testing and equipment sizing
• Attend trade show conferences to promote equipment as needed
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer and corresponding programs
• Ability to develop a strong rapport with industry reps and customers
