Our client is a well-established, successful firm. They’re known for a commitment to great work life balance for their engineers, diversity of projects and a career growth environment is seeking to add an additional Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer. This exciting and challenging position requires an engineer who is highly motivated and knowledgeable with Plumbing Codes and NFPA.
Responsibilities will include:
• Complete construction projects by determining System requirements, designing Plumbing and Sprinkler systems, and supervising construction.
• Work closely with HVAC and Electrical departments to coordinate plans and specifications.
• Determine scope of projects by identifying construction or renovation requirements, studying requirements, developing concepts and presenting sketches.
• Develop Construction Documents by designing layout and generating specifications for Plumbing and Sprinkler systems.
• Oversee construction by monitoring construction as compared to drawings and specifications, solving design/construction problems.
Background profile:
• Massachusetts State Plumbing Code, ADA Requirements, NFPA Guidelines.
• Skilled with Autocad, Revit and hydraulic software for sprinkler design/layout
• 3-10 years’ industry experience with exposure to both plumbing and fire protection trades. Strengths in one or the other is expected, but an interest and willingness to learn the other is required.
Our client offers a 40 hour work week, a 2 day hybrid environment, 100% medical coverage, 3 weeks’ vacation and year-end bonuses.
