Our fast-growing client is seeking a multi-talented mechanically inclined Technician to become a part of their core team. In this hands-on role, the selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the commissioning, installation, maintenance, and repair of current and future equipment as well as providing some PLC support. Additionally, the Technician will perform preventative maintenance on all production equipment and electrical systems as well as troubleshoot equipment failures while identifying the root cause of the problem. At times, tasks will also include rebuilding and fabricating small machine parts and components when needed and maintaining inventory to ensure all needed parts are in stock. To be successful in this role, candidates should have a strong knowledge of electrical safety and should also have some project management abilities. Candidates must also have strong proven organizational skills and must be able to switch gears quickly. Additional responsibilities include:
• Oversee efficient machine operation during production shifts.
• Perform equipment startups, shutdowns, and cleanups.
• Write standard operating procedures relevant to the production lines and other relevant areas, create training documents, and maintenance procedures.
• Assist in the build-out of additional automation and control systems.
• Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously.
• Follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Background profile:
• 3-5 years of Industrial operations, engineering, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressed air systems and custom machinery is considered a huge plus.
• Experience with current predictive maintenance technologies.
• Knowledge of PLCs
• Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or certifications in Maintenance is preferred
• Knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Basic proficiency with computer applications.
