Machinist – Prototype, Low Volume
Our client, a specialized capital equipment manufacturing firm, has an immediate need for a Prototype Machinist in their prototype and low volume machine shop.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
• Making parts per drawings to time table assigned
• Work with Engineering staff to review drawings on the best way to manufacture new parts.
• Support assembly and service technicians with quick turn-around of part modifications that may be needed
• Support the general business in other duties that may be needed from time to time.
Background Profile:
• All around machinist, with CNC experience, also beneficial if prior experience with manual lathes and CNC grinding.
• Familiar with DMG, Prototrak VM and EMX controllers. Familiarity with DXF converters and/or SolidWorks.
• Experience with high precision, tight tolerance part manufacturing
• Ability to work from part prints and independently
• Experience with inspection tools
