Optics Professional

Our well established, family owned client, is seeking a highly motivated Junior Optics Professional to join them as their manufacturing operation continues to grow. To be successful in this very hands-on role, candidates must be self-motivated and enjoy working on the manufacturing floor while maintaining and improving preventative maintenance for processes as well as the equipment. The selected candidate will be the technical point person for customers and must possess the ability to ensure the product quality meets or exceeds the customer’s specifications before shipment. Additional responsibilities will include creating and revising documentation as well as assisting the supervisor that all customer delivery schedules are met. Background profile:

• Technical/engineering degree or equivalent experience required
• 2-5 years’ minimum experience in an optical manufacturing environment
• Experience in coating or thin film vapor deposition is a plus
• Hands on optical component experience is necessary with attention to detail
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications
• Ability to understand and use metrology equipment such as Verniers, micrometers, interferometer, microscopes and other optical measuring equipment
• Ability to develop and maintain written logs and company databases
