Our rapidly growing company is seeking a Project Manager to manage their industrial projects from receipt of the purchase order through commissioning, and also provide sales support for bids and proposals from an equipment and costing perspective.
The selected candidate will be responsible for determining BOMs, sourcing parts, and communicating with customers and key members of the team as well as organizing start up and commissioning. Additionally, the Project Manager must be detail oriented and will be responsible for the quality and inspection of parts being manufactured in the U.S., and the assembled equipment prior to shipment. They will also provide all submittal information and necessary technical documentation to the customer throughout the project, ensuring it will be completed as scheduled. This is a customer facing role that requires a Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 3-5 years of Project Management experience in the industrial equipment industry.
Additional Responsibilities and Qualifications
• Review technical specifications and identify exceptions and items that require clarification, determine the scope of equipment to be supplied, and provide cost information.
• Experience with AutoCAD 3D or similar program to review drawings and also have the ability to complete technical data sheets and assist with bid doc preparation.
• Ability to maintain proper documentation related to projects, including changes, submittals etc. and provide any after sale support as needed. May also become involved with some testing.
• Communicate with parent company in Japan regarding ongoing projects, manufacturing, documentation, and technical support.
• Experience reviewing bid documents and an understanding of pumps, valves, controls and filtration is desired but not required. Experience working on municipal projects and/or mining projects would also be helpful.
• Willing to travel when needed
